The following terms and conditions apply to all bookings for supply of goods and services:
1. A minimum non-refundable deposit of 1/2 of the total booking fee is required to confirm any discussed booking. DesiBel Sound, however, reserve the right to increase the stated deposit amount above 1/2.
2. Cancellations of any services booked with DesiBel Sound should be made in writing and received by DesiBel Sound no less than 30 days prior to the date of the booked event, clearly stating the reason for cancellation.
3. Failure to cancel within the specified timescale will be clarified in the 'Further Terms' section below.
4. Payments made to DesiBel Sound are non-transferable.
5. In the event that any persons present at the event damages any equipment provided or supplied by DesiBel Sound at a function, the named client will be held liable for all costs of repair or replacement.
6. DesiBel Sound reserves the right to provide an alternative supplier/entertainer in the unlikely event of unforeseen circumstances arising.
7. Unless agreed otherwise, an extra fee will be charged to the named client if DesiBel Sound performs in excess of the specified time.
8. The client must inform DesiBel Sound in the event of stairs leading to the function room, i.e. when the function room is not on ground level. This information must be provided to DesiBel Sound at the time of agreeing the cost of our service. Failure to inform DesiBel Sound of such factors may mean that the named client will be charged an extra amount, which must be paid by the function date.
9. Depending on setup specification DesiBel Sound requires a minimum of one hour and twenty minutes setup time and the same time for de-rigging at the end of the performance and to leave any third party premises. DesiBel Sound will not be liable for any extra charges incurred for late vacation of the venue if the hire time of venue is not discussed and agreed with DesiBel Sound at time of booking. This is the responsibility of the venue hirer.
10. DesiBel Sound cannot be held liable in the unlikely event of any third party supplies or suppliers not arriving or supplying their products and/or services on the required date or at the required time. If they do not arrive or supply these services at all, you will be refunded the full amount you paid for that particular service. These services may include any service/s arranged by DesiBel Sound on the client’s behalf, which are not part of DesiBel Sound.
11. If the balance is not paid in full by the event date, an interest of 5% will be applied to any pending balance amount every 7 day period after the balance becomes overdue.
12. Cash Deposits must be paid in person.
13. Cheque Deposits can be posted.
14. Cheque balances must be paid in full and cleared seven days prior to the event date.
15. Cash Balances must be paid in full upon arrival at the venue on the date of the event. If paying by cash this way, this must be agreed with DesiBel Sound at least 21 days prior to the event date.
16. DesiBel Sound reserve the right to not begin the set up process or begin providing their services at the event until the balance has been paid and cleared in full.
17. It is the named client’s responsibility to ensure that all monies are paid promptly and correctly.
18. The named client will be charged a £20 fee for each of any cancelled or un-cleared cheque payments.
19. Dry Hire equipment is subject to a £500 security deposit depending on the item.
20. ID will be required on dry hire equipment and a signed value of the goods, of which the hirer will be responsible for the full replacement value of the item should the item be lost, stolen or damaged, howsoever caused.

1. About Us
DesiBel Sound (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides professional audio, lighting, and AV production services, equipment hire, and technical crew for live music, corporate events, touring productions, and private functions throughout the UK.
By booking our services or hiring our equipment, you (“Client”, “you”, “your”) agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2. Quotations & Booking
2.1 All quotations are valid for 14 days unless stated otherwise.
2.2 A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of:
• A signed agreement or written confirmation, and
• A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total quote
2.3 We reserve the right to amend quotes if event requirements change (e.g., venue size, audience capacity, technical rider updates, access limitations).

3. Payment Terms
3.1 A deposit is required to secure your date.
3.2 The remaining balance is due no later than 7 days prior to the event unless otherwise agreed.
3.3 For corporate or contracted clients, 30-day invoicing terms may be offered subject to agreement.
3.4 Late payments may incur interest in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
Failure to make payment may result in cancellation of services.

4. Cancellations
4.1 Deposits are non-refundable.
4.2 Cancellation fees apply as follows:
• 30+ days before event: Deposit retained
• 14–29 days: 50% of total fee
• 7–13 days: 75% of total fee
• Under 7 days: 100% of total fee
4.3 Force majeure events (e.g., extreme weather, government restrictions) will be assessed case by case.

5. Equipment Hire
5.1 All hired equipment remains the property of DesiBel Sound at all times.
5.2 The Client is responsible for:
• Safe and secure storage
• Insurance cover while equipment is on site
• Loss, theft, or damage (excluding fair wear and tear)
5.3 Equipment must not be tampered with, modified, or operated by unqualified persons without prior consent.
5.4 Any loss or damage will be charged at full replacement value.
5.5 It shall be your own responsibility to ensure that any products, services or information available through this website meet your specific requirements.

6. Technical Requirements & Venue Access
6.1 The Client must ensure:
• Adequate power supply
• Safe loading access
• Parking access for vans/trucks
• Reasonable setup and breakdown time
6.2 Delays caused by venue restrictions or lack of access may incur additional charges.
6.3 We reserve the right to refuse unsafe working conditions.

7. Liability
7.1 We carry Public Liability Insurance appropriate for live event production.
7.2 Our liability is limited to the total contract value.
7.3 We are not liable for:
• Indirect or consequential loss
• Artist non-performance
• Venue power failure
• Audience behaviour
• External contractor failures
7.4 The Client is responsible for event licences, permits, and PRS/PPL compliance where required.

8. Health & Safety
8.1 All equipment installations comply with UK safety standards.
8.2 No unauthorised persons may climb, move, or interfere with equipment.
8.3 The Client is responsible for general crowd control and venue safety unless otherwise contracted.

9. Crew & Working Hours
9.1 Standard working day: Up to 10 hours on site.
9.2 Overtime is charged at agreed hourly rates.
9.3 Overnight stays, travel beyond 50 miles, or multi-day events may incur additional charges.

10. Intellectual Property
10.1 All system designs, technical drawings, and production plans remain our intellectual property.
10.2 We reserve the right to use event photos and videos for promotional purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing.

11. Website Use
By using our website, you agree:
• Not to misuse content or attempt unauthorised access
• That this website contains material which is owned by or licensed to us and all website content remains our property. This material includes, but is not limited to, the design, layout, look, appearance and video and graphics. Reproduction is prohibited other than in accordance with the copyright notice, which forms part of these terms and conditions.
• That pricing displayed is indicative and subject to confirmation.
· All trademarks reproduced in this website, which are not the property of, or licensed to us, are acknowledged on the website.
· Unauthorised use of this website may give rise to a claim for damages and/or be a criminal offence.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
